The Lodge was formed by early pioneers of the mining community in 1946, and has operated continuously ever since. The lodge building is located on Con Road just past the main entrance to Miramar Con gold mine (now closed), at 62°44’01” N by 114°35’61” W. The building was the original movie theatre for Yellowknife, and has been re-located from its original location in the old town area.
